‘Passion with a Mission’ - Girl rides Solo across Nagaland to Empower Women

Following ‘Passion with a mission’, Onenienla Imsong (Onen Nenty) sets off on a solo motorcycle ride through all the twelve districts of Nagaland under the banner ‘Kongro Naga on Wheels’ (KNOW).

The 27-year-old Onen, who is a banker, a passionate biker, a musician and YouTuber, is on a mission to reach out to women folks from all walks of life, and spread the message of women empowerment. Her solo tour on her trusted Royal Enfield Himalayan bike was flagged off by Nagaland State Governor, PB Acharya and his wife Kavita Acharya at Raj Bhavan, Kohima.

“God and my passion are taking me to the 12 districts of Nagaland to tell people how fulfilling it is to do something your heart so desire,” she said.

“In my journey, if their stories and mine inspire someone, it would be an achievement,” she added.

Through this journey, Onen, who hails from Chuchuyimpang village under Ongpangkong range in Mokokchung district, attempts to push women folks out of their comfort zones and inspire them to chase their dreams and passion.

“We are all beautifully designed in a unique way and we should make use of the given opportunities and fulfil the purpose driven life,” said Onen.

She will be travelling across the state under the banner ‘Kongro Naga on Wheels’ (KNOW) with the slogan ‘Passion with a mission.’ She will record her entire trip on two GoPro cameras.

When most of us will hate to step out of the house, she chose to tour during the rainy season, “It's rainy season but for passionate people, day or night, rainy or sunny, I have to do what I have to do."

KNOW is a non-profit organisation founded by her in association with K&K Motors, Monster Beverage and Dream Café. It works on the socially relevant issues and encourages women empowerment.
