She was selected among the 35,000 more applicants from across the globe; 1500 delegates participated in the conference held from 25th to 28th August 2019, at Putrajaya International convention Centre, Malaysia. Bipasha Hrangkhawl is Tripura’s first woman air traffic controller (ATC). She has been working at the Maharaj Bir Bikram Airport in Agartala for the past one year. Bipasha, 26, hails from Rangamura village, a distant tribal hamlet in Khowai district, 50 km from Agartala. She failed to clear the ATC examination in her first attempt in 2015 but cracked the exam in her second attempt.
